He's being so clingy?

His life doesnt seem full. You were right when you said he is desperate for aproval. On the whole, it is something he needs to work on himself. But that doesnt mean there arent thing you can do. I would try to get him a fuller life of his own, maybe try to get him some better friends or a new hobby. Also, have a heart to heart with him. He may just be asking all these things to try to gauge your feelings for him because his feelings for you are strong and he is worried you might not stick around. So let him kno that you arent going anywhere and that you do miss him when he isnt there and that he doent always have to ask. Your last BF wasnt great, so maybe his last GF wasnt great either and he is trying to avoid losing a good one here/
